A year ago today....Happy 1st Birthday Max

A year ago today, our little Man joined our family.  (that makes four!)  We were a little scared and surprised to see him, but God was definitely looking over us that day.  I went into labor five weeks early.  Max was suppose to be due on April 30th.  I was actually worried about not being home from the hospital before Easter, but Max had another plan for us.  The doctors were cautious and tried to hydrate me in order to stop the contractions that morning.  No such luck, so I had to deliver.  My labor progressed so quickly, I almost didn't even get to have an epidural.  Luckily, the anistisologics got there right in time.  Grandma and Grandpa almost missed the delivery, because they didn't believe me that Max was on his way.  Grandma Carolyn had Ella back at the house.  We were lucky to have her watch Ella the night before for a date night, so we didn't even have to worry about finding someone to watch Ella when the contractions started.

Max was 6 lbs. and 18 inches when he was born in the afternoon.  I can't remember the exact time- I think around 2 or 3.  I was expecting a little peanut, but pleasantly surprised to see such a healthy boy.  Max was actually bigger than Ella when she was born.  The whole birth of Max seemed surreal.  I was not mentally prepared.  That morning, I honestly didn't think I would be giving birth to my baby boy yet.  The greatest feeling was holding him in my arms after delivery.  They didn't even have to rush him away to the NICU, so I knew that he would be okay!  I couldn't believe I was a mom again!  After I held Max in my arms, they checked him out.  He wasn't able to regulate his temperature at first, so they kept him under a hot lamp, but everything else was okay.  He was considered a preemie too, so we had to do the car seat check before we were able to leave the hospital.  Tyson and I are so blessed to have a little boy.  A little buddy to hike in the woods, play golf and go fishing with his daddy.  A prince who will be mommy's cuddle buddy and dance with his mommy on his big wedding day.

Now a year later, where has the time gone.  We are so blessed that God gave us this healthy and happy little boy.  Max is very happy baby.  He goes along with the flow and loves his sissy so much.  Max is now 18 lbs. 13 oz.  and 29.5 inches long. His favorite word is Ella.  He says it all day long!  He loves to walk and his favorite food are crackers.  Actually he is my garbage disposal.  He eats anything and everything.  Max's favorite thing to do is play with Ella.  He loves peek a boo, balls and bubbles.    We love you Max!  Here's to another great year of more memories and milestones.  =)
