Ella has been in a big girl bed for a few months now. She is doing great! I think it was around February when we decided it was time. Her crib was close to the light switch in her room. Ella was turning on the light in the middle of the night. Daddy moved the crib over, but Mommy was nervous that Ella would now be temped to crawl out of the crib. Needless to say, a big girl bed it was! When converting her crib to a bed, we discovered that the bed was a full and not a twin. Daddy had to make a couple of trips to the mattress store. When it was all put together, Ella was excited. She has all of her "kids" in bed with her. Teddy bear #1, #2, #3, puppy, Minnie mouse, Baby, baby rabbit- I am sure I am missing one or two. One night, Ella discovered that she can get down from the bed. That morning, we noticed more "kids". This continued for a few days, until she got one special bear. We had a bear made with Ella's heartbeat when she was in Mommy's belly. The bear went off in the middle of the night and Ella didn't adventure out to much after that. Finally, a few weeks ago, I went to wake up Ella. I looked in the bed and didn't see her. My heart was racing....Ella decided to sleep on the floor. Not sure if she decided this on her own or if she couldn't get back into bed. Again, Ella hasn't ventured far from the bed since then.
What a big girl!
