We love summer break! Along with summer, comes many fun memories. This past weekend we took a trip to see Auntie Amy's new house. It was a little bit of a drive but the kids did well. Max fell asleep on the way down. He is such a good boy. Ella watched movies the whole way- Care Bears. =) After a long voyage, we asked Ella who's house we were visiting. She was so excited to go to the door to find out. When Amy answer it...she screamed AMY. Grandma was also there too, which I think threw Ella off. She was also curious about Bryce too. Normally, when we see Grandma and Amy Bryce is around too. Ella missed her Bryce. We had an awesome trip- mini vacation. We had a cookout and hung out at the house. This kids ran around in the sprinkler. We got a grand tour too. Ella thought the sleepover was the best part. I made her a little bed on the futon. She was so excited. This was the first time Max and Ella slept together. I put Max in the pack and play. Once he feel asleep, I tucked Ella into bed. She kept peeking in on Max. So adorable. After not having a nap that day, Ella fell asleep without any trouble. We enjoyed a night of cards and good company. On Saturday morning, we went to the Children's Museum. I was so impressed. It was huge! First we went to a floor that was designated to toddlers. Max was in his glory. He wondered around, exploring. Anything that he could climb on was by far his favorite. Ella loved the little house with a kitchen. She loved playing with the other kids. Max and Ella also went for a carousel ride. It was Max's first time. He loved it! Ella loved it too! Grandpa even took her again. At the museum, we saw a Lego exhibit, dinosaurs, cars and so much more. Lots of boy stuff! Yeah Max! That is a nice change from all of our girly stuff from day to day. The ride home was allot different than the ride to visit Auntie Amy. We left late a night, so the kids would fall asleep. Our plan backfired- the kids stayed up the entire time. Max was actually laughing and playing. I think he was slaphappy. =) I hope our trip to the beach will go as well as this car ride did. Thanks Auntie Amy and Uncle John for letting us visit!
