I am a BIG girl now!

It's official!!!  Ella is potty trained.  After a long summer.....I feel that I can officially say that I have a big girl now.  This summer, Ella used pull ups but hated using the potty.  She was always good about holding it through the night and during nap time.  So I was able to put her on the potty right after she woke up and we she would go on the potty.  However, she didn't have an interest in the whole idea of being potty trained.  I tried sticker charts, calling Grandma, books and M&M's. About two weeks before I went back to work, I was feeling a little frantic.  My goal of having Ella potty trained during the summer didn't seem like it was going to happen.  Then, I decided to just put her in big girl underwear and success!  (with many accidents) First, I let Ella pick out some underwear at the store- Hello Kitty and Minnie Mouse.  She was so excited to wear big girl underwear!  Next, lots of bribes!  This girl loves chocolate, just like her mommy.  For about two weeks, I had to give Ella "potty breaks."  Now she is telling me when she has to go!  She can even pull down her own underwear and go by herself.  Yippee!
